I am sending a picture of my pony “Lady” and I know you will agree with me that she is a dandy.
We have lots of fun together and I ride her to Sunday School every Sunday. She is three years old and thirty-six inches tall and weighs about two hundred and seventy-five pounds, so you see she is just the pony for a little boy six years old.
We went to a circus one time to see the ponies and they were pretty and smart too, but all were larger than “Lady.”
Ella Fullam sent me a picture of her pony “Zip” and I think he is a fine pony.
The Farmer’s Wife has made lots of boys and girls happy and we will always be ready to do all we can for them.

[From 1907 to 1918, the Webb Publishing Company hired children to sell subscriptions to The Farmer’s Wife magazine. Some of these children, due to their exceptional salespersonship, were awarded the grand prize. The grand prize was a Shetland pony, along with a saddle and bridle.]
